Blend - Group Exhibition hosted by 34FineArt
Blend
Group Exhibition
OPENING AT 34FineArt, BUCHANAN SQUARE, WOODSTOCK
December 11 – January 26, 2013
34FineArt is pleased to announce the opening of a new group exhibition, Blend, opening in December. Coinciding with the end of year festivities, Blend offers a retrospective of the year at the Gallery as well as including exciting new works.
The exhibition features an eclectic array of work from various artists in a number of mediums, offering viewers a chance to see Art as more than a sum of its parts and in all its complimentary forms.
Despite the multiplicity of works on display, Blend frames each piece as a coextension and enhancement of the former, and the next. All art contributes a voice to the harmony of the genre of Art, at its heart perhaps still a language of common expression and purpose.
Various nationalities, cultures and generations are also represented in the exhibition. Works by internationally renowned artists, Mr. Brainwash, Takashi Murakami and Shepard Fairey are again included, as well as other international artists such as AME72 and T.WAT. A number of other artists well-known on the South African art scene are also represented, with works by Esther Mahlangu, Asha Zero, Jade Doreen Waller, Motel7, Lionel Smit and Paul du Toit.
For the first time, the gallery will also show works by Warren Peterson and RTX, as well as featuring the latest sculptures and painting from acclaimed South African artist Norman Catherine.
With a broad spectrum of works, Blend will appeal to those interested in both the local and international art scenes.
The exhibitions runs from the 11th of December into the new year. There will be no evening opening reception.
